Is it worth exchanging the camera for a mini DV such as a Panasonic 3CCD so I don’t have to loose quality compressing and having to go through Handbrake? You’re probably going to say it’s worth the exchange but, you know, I’ll be thankful for the best answer :)

I need a better zoom than that but I also don’t want to settle for grainy digital video like my old Canon ZR90 produces. and for any of you who own a Sony HC38 model, what do you think about it? thanks for any help I get!
