I want to buy a camcorder that will let me record on 24 fps to give it the cinema look, but i also want it to be somewhat cheap just to get started filming shorts and whatnot.
Preferably a HD camcorder.

pkinvest I have a website that I’m creating, and I would like to put some videos on it 5-10 minutes long. What type of camcorder, or what are the specifications to look for in a camcorder, that will produce a med to high quality and clear video?

pkinvest I have this Canon 630i camcorder for over 2 years, and when I bought it I thought I will be able to store and edit video into computer.
Although the software came with it, I never understand it, as i believed the software was just for the still images made with camcorder, so I gave up.
But I now I have a feeling since the camcorder is DV and it’s digital, it should be possible to connect and save the video into PC.
I have a USB cable to connect, but is that enough.
Can anyone let me know, please?
Thanks in advance to everyone.

pkinvest I would like to know a make and model of the best camcorder! I need to video kids sporting events. The zoom feature must be better than average to view from stands and get close up good quality shots. Budget is not as important, but must be reasonable. What are some other factors to consider? I have have never purchased camcorder, only digital cam with video capability. Thanks!
