The Samsung SMX-C10 is ideal for those on the go, and offers an impressive 10x optical zoom paired with Hyper Image Stabilization to help reduce blurry footage. It features a 230,000-dot, swiveling 2.7-inch wide LCD screen, which allows users to effortlessly frame their subjects and review their footage. Similar to the full-HD HMX-R10, the SMX-C10s boast Samsung’s Active Angle Lens. This unique design helps reduce fatigue by allowing consumers to grip the camcorder in a more relaxed manner, easing the overall stress on their wrist and elbow. Unlike traditional camcorders, the relaxed grip also removes the LCD screen from the user’s line of sight, enabling them to always keep an eye on their subject while recording.
The SMX-C10 does not feature internal memory and requires the use of SD/SDHC media. It also offers substantial battery life, providing more than two hours and forty minutes of record time on a single charge.
The SMX-C10 also incorporate Samsung’s play-edit-sharing program called intelli studio. The built-in intelli-studio program allows consumers to connect the camcorder to any computer via USB and edit and play their video without having to install supporting software. intelli-studio also facilitates the process of uploading users’ content to popular video sharing Web sites. For added convenience, a one-touch “upload” button, available directly on the SMX-C10, provides a direct connection to YouTube, further reducing the number of steps needed to upload footage. In addition, the camcorder also allows basic on-camera editing, including the ability to merge and split video files.

Absolutely poor support. I called Samsung Support was on the phone for 1hour 25mins no response. No one knew what this camera was all about. SO, please do not buy it. Poor reflection of a company that is so large. Save your time and unnecessary headach by not buying it.

Contrary to the ad, “works with any PC”, it works with Windows only. I bought one, which seemed to work OK until I tried to upload to my Mac. Nothing doing. The manual itself states, on p. 102– if I remember accurately, that it works only with Windows and a Mac can’t be used. I rated it “1″, not for the camera itself, but for Samsung’s unclear advertising. I returned it for credit, which Amazon has granted. I would assume that other models in this SMX- line also can’t be used with Mac.

I usually don’t use the word ‘Cute’, but looking at the C10, I just said ‘This is cute’ without even realizing it.
The SMX-C10 fits the word minimalism well. It s a pocket type small size product enough to fit anywhere, and it minimizes the button part to give easy feeling for people as if it breaks the prejudice Camcorders are complicated . Applying High glossy UV coating and mirror material with great finishing are so satisfactory. (When it comes to design, I could see the difference from other Samsung products. I wasn t satisfied with the design of former products, but I like the C10 very much.)

I like this camcorder for its ease of use and angled design. The buttons and menus are fairly intuitive. Battery life is fair. Picture quality quickly deteriorates in low light (indoors). The most frustrating problem is that the MP4 file format apparently uses a proprietary codec which is complicated to work with. You have to download a codec so windows media player will play the file. I still have not managed to get corel videostudio x2 to import these files.

We were not looking for a fancy camcorder, just something with good-quality video to record our kids. This does NOT have still photo capability or a flash, so if you need this, keep going!!
This camera is perfect for what we need it for — family vacations and holidays, plus just lazy days around the house. It is smaller than my digital camera and easy to store/carry with me. Video and sound are very good, and it was VERY easy to start it up – only took about 5-10 minutes to get it set up and charging. For the price we paid, it is almost exactly what we would have expected to receive.
Disappointed that I had to buy a case and memory card separately, but still worth the money.
My only complaint about the product itself is that the way the lens is positioned, you have to angle the camera down at a slightly unnatural angle…it’s fine to get used to, but was weird at first.
