How To Prevent My Camcorder From Shutting Down Itself?

Hi, I have a Sony DCR TRV 22E, I need to use my camera for monitoring only or as a webcam, not recording. How could I prevent my camcorder from shutting down itself? Because usually when not recording the camcorder would shut down to save the battery power. Thanks a lot.

Camcorder Prices (prosumer) – Will They Go Down Soon Because Of Hd Cameras?

It seems everyone is into the HD camcorders now. I’m looking at buying a 3ccd prosumer (probably the sony dcr-vx2100 or the canon gl2), but am wondering if prices drop certain times of the year…right now being the wedding season and all. or if they are expected to drop in a few months (3-6 months to be exact) due to the mass adoption of the HD cameras. Should I wait to buy one or buy now? Looking to use it for wedding videography.
