pkinvest The camcorder tapes I have are TDK 8mm HS90 tapes that were used in a Sony camcorder in years 2000-2002. I no longer have the camera and really want to do these myself instead of using a company to do it for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1 Comment » October 25th, 2009 pkinvest I have a new Panasonic 3ccd mini dv camcorder PV GS 320 camcorder. I placed a mini DV tape that has some film my friend shot on his camera, (a sony).
I can’t view the content as when I play it it says wrong format on the screen.
Is there a way around this or is the tape just not compatible with the Panasonic although its a mini DV and it fits in well and plays?

It’s a fantastic Camcorder but it uses tapes instead of SD cards or discs. I’m not shelling out £200+ when my camcorder is good enough. Is there a way of transferring the recording to my pc? Any help would be great.

October 9th, 2009 pkinvest I have the actual DVD tapes from a camcorder. However, the camcorder was stolen a few months ago. Is it still possible to convert the tapes to a DVD using my computer, but without a camcorder? Any tricks? Neither do I have the money to afford a new camcorder nor a professional service to do it for me. Am I screwed? Please help! Thanks so much!
